Practice Makes Perfect (well, almost!)
Our final blog assignment is to discuss what we gained from this class. Without a doubt I have to say confidence. It was with much trepidation that I tread into the waters of rendering with markers. I had just completed my first residential design studio course and had relied on pencils for rendering my final drawing. My only other foray into using markers was a landscape class I had taken a few years ago. It's fair to say this course has changed my opinion of rendering with markers and has greatly increased my confidence in using them. The take away - similar to that of every other course I've taken in design - practice, practice, practice. Whether it's rendering with markers or honing computer skills, you've got to put in the effort daily to achieve the best results.
